Extensive Distribution of Food and Non-Food Items for IDPs in Al Anbar

The humanitarian situation in Iraq is still devastating. Due to the continuing fights between Daesh and the Iraqi forces thousands of people are fleeing their homes and transiting to safer areas. At the moment there is a new wave of migration from Falluja in central Iraq as the military recaptured the city in heavy fights from the terrorists. Lots of people fled to the surrounding areas such as Habbaniyah Tourist City near the Habbaniyah Lake.
There are already thousands of IDPs located from previous migration waves and the increased afflux of people worsens the humanitarian situation inside the camps. Now it is essential to provide the new arrivals with basic humanitarian assistance and therefore RIRP conducts extensive distributions of basic items such as emergency food baskets and hygiene kits in close cooperation with WFP and UNICEF.
